Dear Haute, Why do you bill yourself as "Haute" when really, you're not?  Is this your way of trying to attract a better crowd posing as an exclusive spot in WeHo, where the competition is a lot fiercer? Came here with my girlfriends last Saturday.  We were on Cameron's guestlist and were told to get there before 11.  Got there by 10:30 & checked in with one of the girls working the door.  She said "Alright, we just opened up the guestlist, but we're letting in people with bottle service first.  We waited off to the side of the entrance, as opposed to the standard line.  She said were were cool where we were at & we would be let in eventually.  Waited patiently & same girl repeated told me the same thing.  The last time I asked her how much longer, beyotch told me, "Maybe you're better off getting in line!"  I asked her if we could do bottle service and she said the minimum at this point is 4 bottles!  The other guys running the door are equally full of themselves.  Are you kidding me?  You're a pathetic doorman at a so-so club!  You may have reached your full potential in this life so I'll let you think you're important.  So sad... We eventually make it in probably after an hour of waiting.  They decide to charge us $15 even though we're on the list.  Are you f*cking kidding me?  At this point, my girls didn't wanna go through the trouble of going to a better spot and cough up the cover.  We get inside, the DJ was whack, décor low-class and the crowd, so unattractive and rude.  What a waste of a night...can I say "do-over" please?! This place has nothing going for itself.  Don't waste your time and moolah here, there are so many other hot spots to go to in WeHo!  I expect that it will be closed in less than a year when other people discover that it's definitely not "Haute"!  Actually, they should change their name to "Prolétaire".

Provocateur - opened last night and it was great. We went to the lounge first which is set up like an english garden wrough iron chairs included, and of course couches for those of us who will pass on the iron chairs. We sat down and got a couple bottles of champagne, which they serve in the old fashion styled glasses instead of flutes. The waitresses were great, very attentive to the ladies. The guys kept buying drinks and they always made sure we had a chance to order if we wanted. This place will be great in the summer, the roof opens up. Also its legal to smoke in here since the roof opens, not that any clubs really stop you from smoking anyway... Then Provocateur opened up around 12:30 or so and the club is gorgeous. Purple lighting, black couches. Up on the balcony they have huge angel wings and girls dressed in white dancing. The club is fairly small, but they didn't let it get too crowded so it was fun. If it got too crowded you wouldnt be albe to walk around. Crowd is very european, kept getting asked if I was Russian.... Again great service at our tables, they kept the drinks coming and even made our drinks for us with our bottles and they make a stiff drink! This is a place that will leave you with one of those I need a sick-day and can't come to work hangovers. (I should have used one today...)

Wow, this place has not rocked since 2000-2002. Yes, the interior cannot be beat, but for God's sake make the smell of FEET go away!!!! *gets the shakes* The main theme is salsa, which I hate, but they have several rooms to dance in. The hip hop room is awful, it's like a nasty sauna down there. The main stage used to play some of the best trance ever up until midnight, then switch to the live salsa show. The 80's room is cool, because it's a mix of *duh* 80's Kroq, trance. I've done well here, in terms of picking up women... except for that REALLY BIG girl that stalked me for a bit--but that's another story. The crowd is composed of some of L.A.'s not-so-finest. 99% Latino, baldies galore, and dudes with super duper fades. The women, if you can call them that, are HOODRATS! Not my thing, I'll take Becky, Amber, and Stephanie any day.  *yes, I'm Latino too* The cover charge varies 13-18 Fri-Sat. Try it at your own risk.
