by Cayla Lyster on My Boyfriend (AT THE TIME) and I attended a Grouch and Eligh (of the Living Legends) show @ Terrace here last Saturday. We arrived early to get a good spot cause we haven't been before and didn't know what to expect. We didn't wait in line long before they started to let us in. The bodyguards didn't check me but did a pat down on my Boyfriend no big deal there. when we got in I was surprised to see how large it was. The night would have been great if we didn't have to wait almost 4 hours and 5 opening acts for Grouch and Eligh to make an appearance. Any way here are my pros and cons: PROS: Very spacious Sound system was clear and loud Drinks were at a good price well ventilated Bouncers/security were friendly intimate venue large flat screens playing videos they allowed cameras CONS: Upstairs bathroom that you have to fight your way to the stairwells during the show No in's & outs NO smoking patio Parking on the street not a lot of seating
by Alysa Hormuth on I absolutely recommend this place for those who want to feel like they arent in Los Angeles anymore. This place has a New Orleans feel. The decor is well done and the staff is always friendly. Be sure to check out their live music (See Hobo Jazz play on mondays and occassionally weekends) and the free sunday bbq is so yum! I serve absinthe at various los angeles venues and am currently in talks with the management to get our Absinthe services in there very soon. SO keep an eye out for sure! http://www.twitter.com...
by Alison C. on Jake's is a very laid back dive bar. The front section has a few booths on the left wall, a large bar along the right wall, and tons of standing room in between. They offer a wide range of unusual beers and even were offering $3 draft beers when I went on a Sunday night. The back room has buck hunter, fooseball, and pool tables. It's a great place for a fun, relaxed evening with friends.
