by Jen B. on The Star is a great place to catch punk, rockabilly, alt country, indie acts. It's shine has dulled a bit, but it can still be lots of fun. Don't like the music upstairs? Head downstairs! Adrian, behind the bar, rocks! Grab a bourbon, PBR tall boy, or both and bee line it to the jukebox. It's old and it's fantastic! KISS, Sweet, plenty of punk. If you can't make a great playlist on it then just leave. You've come to the wrong place. Monday nights are silly fun. Jett, Rotknee, and Jacob give you "yer 15 minutes of fame." Get up there and mess up your favorite song. Everyone else does. Don't forget to get a picture in the photo booth on the way out, and thank Joe, the door guy, for keeping your ass safe!
by Orval Mayton on Awesome outdoor patio with its own lemon tree. I can't wait to head back to this outer mission bar. Great scene, open pool table at 8 pm on a Friday. A great way to end the work week. Also, a great alternative to Zeitgeist if you just gotta get outside and drink a beer.
