by Liz K. on I agree with some of the other rateclubsers about this - Busby's on Wilshire is SOOO much better than the one in Santa Monica, on so many levels. First of all, its way bigger, therefore not as crowded and more interesting. The dancefloor is BOMB, big enough for everyone and their mom, not overcrowded and they have a huge stage for dancing with your ladies when your feelin extra saucy! The dancefloor also has good lighting and they play different music, like some booty shakin hip hop, than is played in the rest of the club. It has many more rooms/areas than the Santa Monica location, and all the same games and TV's and stuff. I also realized after going here for my friends graduation celebration last weekend that my ollllllld homie Brandon bartends here, so im for sure going to come back, hes so awesome! They charged a higher cover here than they do at SM (12 i think, rather than 10), because its the Hollyhood i suppose, which sucks, but we rolled up in a limo full of 9 girls and 2 guys and we went straight in after a little chat with the bouncers. Some of my other guy friends werent into coming here because they said it was a sausage fest - aka - there was way too many dudes, but me being a female, that sounded pretty good, and i guess it was kinda true. There were a lot of guys, yes, but i wasnt really getting the same pick up kindof vibe that i feel like i normally get, maybe thats because im not hot enough for the hollywood crowd, who knows. Either way, this is a good place because anyone can have a good time, play games, dance, drink, smoke, chill, sit, watch tv, any and all of the above.
