I have mixed feelings on this place. On the other hand, they have some of the best dances around, the floor is nice, and the location is convenient (at least, it is for me, and we know no one else matters, haha). On the other hand, the staff are comically, hilariously, award-winningly awful. I've met one nice person working there in the last several months. I get that dance studios are often staffed by failed or grudgingly amateur dancers who took up answering phones and putting hand stamps on sweaty people after their dreams of fame and fortune were crushed by the cruel fist of reality, but come on, y'all, at least PRETEND you're happy to see us. I have run into this issue at many studios--simply that the receptionists and so on are typically hired because they have an existing relationship with the studio, not because they have any particular willingness or ability to engage in customer service. Or maybe it's because where I'm from, most of the dances are in bars, pubs, nightclubs, etc. so that everyone is boozed-up enough to be REALLY happy to see you, I dunno. I once blurted out something like "how about you be less of a bitch?" (I'm not proud of that; I have, um, no inner monologue and it's a problem) to a staff member who was being really, really awful one night. So in a way I'll give them props for not asking me to leave after I said something like that (I wouldn't blame 'em), but on the other hand, if they weren't so nasty in the first place... I mean, I literally get paid to NOT talk to people, that's how awkward I am, but even I am more capable of successful client/customer interaction than this.

LIV: woah! I always leave this place with a smile on my face, usually when they are turning on the lights and forcing me to go walk around the pools to see what other trouble i can get into. It also leaves me with a hole in my wallet. is that the correct term? it's CO$TLY. But i have had amazing times there.. the best Djs on the beach in my opinion. every song is a energizing shitshow. It is always packed on the weekends and Wednesdays are great. if you are not a supermodel looking woman, or a guy who knows whos who.. you may have to wait a while to get inside the place. and pay $20-$30 to get in. But waiting inside the lobby of the fontainebleau is not too bad with all of Miami's most gorgeous women walking around. of course it is the beach so be prepared to spend $$ on drinks and even water... bottle service is the way to go but you are going to dropp some do'! This place something you need to check out.. before it is NOT the cool place to be anymore. or they realize how much in debt they are from the remodeling and close the doors.. sucks doesn't it.

This is not my favorite mall in the city. The stores don't really have much that I would want to buy. It's mostly cheap clothing that's not my style that doesn't last more than one or two washings. I think "ghetto" is a bit harsh, but the mall definitely has a downtrodden feel to it. The only upside is that it's located right on top of the Market East SEPTA station, so it's convenient for city-dwellers and suburbanites alike. However, I'd much rather get in my car, drive out of Center City, and go to the malls in the 'burbs or else (preferably) shop in the stores between Broad and 20th, Market and Walnut in Center City.
