by Alecia Bilchak on Look, we all know what goes in guacamole. I won't even do a disservice and list the ingredients here. But what was supposed to be a special treat in "guacamole made fresh at the table" only served to remind me of how over-priced mexican restaurants can be. Being a self-proclaimed foodie, I have a decent sense of how much things *should* cost. The ingredients of a single-avocado guacamole do NOT add up to $10. I don't care if your grandmother raised the tomato plant herself and had an emotional fit when you plucked the ripe fruit off the vine and diced it in her face. Girlfriend got an avocado shrimp salad. Tasty but not as much as it was pricey. The fish tacos were tasty and more reasonablly priced. We went elsewhere for dessert, both of us were feeling more thrifty after our main course.

We went to the lounge first which is set up like an english garden wrough iron chairs included, and of course couches for those of us who will pass on the iron chairs. We sat down and got a couple bottles of champagne, which they serve in the old fashion styled glasses instead of flutes. The waitresses were great, very attentive to the ladies. The guys kept buying drinks and they always made sure we had a chance to order if we wanted. This place will be great in the summer, the roof opens up. Also its legal to smoke in here since the roof opens, not that any clubs really stop you from smoking anyway... Then Provocateur opened up around 12:30 or so and the club is gorgeous. Purple lighting, black couches. Up on the balcony they have huge angel wings and girls dressed in white dancing. The club is fairly small, but they didn't let it get too crowded so it was fun. If it got too crowded you wouldnt be albe to walk around. Crowd is very european, kept getting asked if I was Russian.... Again great service at our tables, they kept the drinks coming and even made our drinks for us with our bottles and they make a stiff drink! This is a place that will leave you with one of those I need a sick-day and can't come to work hangovers. (I should have used one today...)
by Kat M. on This place very much gives you a NYC feel. I like the way it's decorated, even though most people seem to think it's too dark. Lounges and clubs are NOT suppose to be light, hellloooooo... Service is prompt and the tables are not near as pricey as most places. Bathroom seemed to be a tad confusing in the beginning, but then you realize..girls on one side, boys on the other. Crowd seemed nice and upbeat. Not really a lot of dancing going on. And for good reason, the dance floor is really one of the tiniest floors I've seen. Other than that con, it's a cool place.
