Back then this place was a cool NON PRETENTIOUS after-hours spot off of Delaware Ave, back when there USED to be tons of REAL dance-clubs there. Back then they never carded - they charged a 'membership fee' to get in that was like $10 - which at the TIME was a redokulous cover price. Back then the bouncers were COOL, as long as you were invited or paid your $10 fee it was 'thanks' have a good night and you went inside to dance on main dance floor that played house music until about 3:30am-4am depending on the nite. Anyway, that was then. Today deco is now "zee bar" - the name alone sounds pretentious enough to make you want to choke yourself to death with your hipster scarf and adjustable rate mortgage on your $600,000 two bedroom row home in fishtown. This is the same old fake bubbletard shit - rude neeander bouncers at the door giving pat downs, purse checks, and acting like savages - then when you get in its fucking lame. Enough all ready - this shit is SO PLAYED OUT. Save yourself the misery and don't go here. You DON'T have to deal with an IDIOT chimp at the door! What's the POINT of this? Fuck this shit and leave the bubble sheeple! A few reviewers here said "Zee is one of the ONLY after hours spots in Philadelphia".... What "PHILADELPHIA" are you living in? Oh yeah - GENTRIFIED PHILADELPHIA which consists only of "the bubble" ie center city/northern liberties/fishtown/manayunk/and 'south philly near center city". For satans sake, THERE IS AN ENTIRE CITY HERE and these TRANSPLANT bubbletards insist on thinking "Philadelphia" is wherever they are taking the most anal abuse without a thank you note. Here's a clue: try traveling outside of the little fish-bowl of gentrification to a land where no one poses our postures. A land where beers are $2.00 and drinks are $3.00. A magical place where DJ's spin real records without a cover charge. A place where bouncers greet you with a "Hi!" rather than a "EEEP! EEEP! EEP! EEP! EEEP! EEEP! EEEEEEP!!!". A place where the people inside are REAL rather than competing in a lame ass contest to see who can be the next MARK ASS "PHILEBRITY" (ROTF!!!). A place that is the exact OPPOSITE of "zee bar". Summary: Zee bar is just another fake ass, lame ass, mark bar for MARK as suckers NOT form philly how have no god dam CLUE. RUDE BOUNCER, inflated drink prices, lame music, lame people. That's not the typical description of Philly, but rather CENTER CITY - which the bubble tards think of as ONLY being philly. For lucifers sake, turn this place back to Deco, loose the mark-ass "Philebrety" NONSENSE!! What in the devil is the problem! THis is PHILLY! Who CARES if you are a 'celebrety'!!! GOD! I can hear the headlines "Top shot Philebrety seen being lame at Zee Bar on front street" LOL! Enough already! LOSE THIS BABOONERY! There are no rich people in Philly! Loose the reCOCKulous $400 VIP bottle service and goofy fake attitude. REAL rich people don't put up with planet of the apes guarding the front gate and rude, incompitent service inside? by Eliz Laughter on The chance to walk through the Academy of Sciences at night, with no children, a much smaller crowd, and a glass of wine. You probably don't need to attend more than one or two of these (I went to the "cirque de soleil" evening, and it wasn't really any different), but it's a definite must for everyone with any interest in the Academy. As an added bonus, the nocturnal creatures wake up and become more active too, which is a rare opportunity given the daytime schedules of most places.
by Erin W. on I've been here on multiple occasions and am always pleased. The husband and I have had many a date night here. Shout is part of the Here To Serve restaurant group, alongside Twist, Noche, and Goldfish. Their sushi is pretty good, and in my opinion a small step above some other sushi restaurants in Atlanta (granted, I've only tried the rolls before and not sashimi/nigiri). They have 2-for-1 wine deals on Tuesday nights. The round bar and the small alcove areas along the perimeter of the restaurant make it chic and inviting. Ask to sit at one of these areas. This is also a great weekend spot with a DJ and outdoor lounge area upstairs if you're in the mood for dancing, mingling and soaking up the Atlanta skyline at night.
