by Vaishali N. on Cherry Lounge. How I despise thee. Perhaps I've had horrible experiences, and I'm writing a biased review. But everytime I've decided to go there, I've loathed it. The bar (sorry, I suppose the correct term is "lounge" but it is a sorry excuse for one) is extremely run-down, and you automatically want to take a shower when you step in the place. I'll say this much. The bartenders are friendly, to say the least. I'm always pleased with the service, and the drinks are alright. However, the security guards are tools. I mean, I understand you have to have a mean demeanor, but come on, can't you smile a bit? This one dude gruffly told me to leave, and I tried to converse with him, and he automatically had a "holier-than-thou" attitude. You can suck it. I'm definitely not trying to flirt with you. Anyway, people that frequent this place - and yes, there are exceptions to the rule, so don't take offense: under-age boys that are insecure with their masculinity, and have the desire to dress in jeans ten sizes too large, and a mouth to match it. Honestly, I'd have to be dead drunk to even be near this place. Yuck.
by Trent Rivenberg on I have to give this place 5 freaking stars for it being my FIRST LOVE! Sure it's pretty damn small and sometimes it gets so hot in there that one HUGE AC doesn't even cut it. But hey they play good music-from the new to the old and me love! I used to come here seriously like every Wednesday (or was it Thursday ) - but suddenly I stopped completely since I couldn't hang anymore. ( I am old and decrypted and just couldn't do the late nights anymore during the work week!) I came here so much that all my friends would be like NOT BOB's or if I mention anything about going to LES---they would refuse to go because they always think I want to go to Bob's. Dude, I can't help it if I love this place. I feel safe here since my bouncer dude got my back and hellos----me love FREE stuff! I even promoted here, since the owner asked my friend and I to promote on Sundays with DJ Taka. Well it was a short lived-since it only lasted one Summer. Can't promote and handle the workload of Parsons. I can't remember this one bartender---but he used to bartend there with the dreads and makes the best Long Island Ice Tea. (Yes, who drinks that? Apparently, I did but yeah, he made it so good that it really tasted like nothing!) But once in a blue moon I like to stop here and say hi to my bouncer buddy and sometimes I bounce at this place. (J/K I sub-in only with supervision! But I always wanted to be a bouncer at a nightclub! I like to check out everyone's ID photos here!)
