From the moment we arrived at Mykonos everything was wonderful. We came here on a quiet and cold Monday night to celebrate my aunt's birthday. There were five of us in our party and we were seated at  a table with plenty of room. Our server was smiling and friendly the whole time. A big plus! For an appetizer we ordered a combo platter of spreads. Everything was tasty, but we had to order two additional orders of pita to finish all of the spreads. My aunt and cousin both got the lemon chicken soup and agreed that it was very good. I ordered a side salad with my meal and added gyro to it. It took longer than the soups and other salads to arrive, but when I finally got it, it was massive. Then we got the house garlic bread which was moist and delicious and reminded me of garlic cake. By the time the main courses came we were stuffed. I got the vegetarian combo platter, which was huge. More than half of it came home with me. The vegetarian Moussaka was my favorite and didn't make it home at all. All of us were pleased with our choices. Even though we were stuffed, we decided to order dessert since it was a birthday celebration after all. A baklava cheesecake and a crazy cake (one layer each of carrot cake, cheesecake, red velvet cake, chocolate cake, and vanilla cake). To die. Yummm. We will be back! Totally worth the drive.

Meh.  We didn't get robbed, and we weren't treated rudely.  But it wasn't a good experience either.   Given the rateclub reviews, we didn't expect really good food or service, but we did except fun entertainment.  We didn't get that either.  All we got was one song from a flapper-esque lady and a short performance by a trapeze artist. Pros: * It was kind of fun to eat dinner in bed.  The beds were firm enough to set a plate but still comfortable enough to lie down on.  I feel asleep after dessert... * I enjoyed the cocktails that I ordered (Veeva la Jude, Supperclub Martini, A Night in Beirut).  They were all fairly sweet, which is how I like them, but a cocktail connoisseur may not enjoy them.  My favorite was the Supperclub Martini, which was made from vodka, Godiva white chocolate liquor and a sink of Kahlua.  It reminded me more of a White Russian than a martini.  Then again, I like White Russians more than normal martinis. * The appetizer (fresh buffalo mozzarella on a large bruschetta with seared radicchio) was pretty tasty. * Decent 20-minute massage for $20 (cash only, tip not included). * Service was friendly. Cons: * Very little entertainment (see above). * No beers were available on tap.  One of our servers said the beer taps "sucked."  Our server recommended Newcastle in a bottle, so my husband ordered that, but they were out of Newcastle bottles too. :( * I tried to order their Kamarama cocktail with rum and Chai tea, but they were out of Chai tea. * I tried to order coffee after dinner, but the server said they no longer carried coffee (!). * Our three courses were served at a very leisurely place -- maybe 45 minutes between courses. * Apart from the appetizer, I can't say the main course (chicken breast with turnips, broccoli and kale) or the dessert (rhubarb crumble) were that tasty. Since we went for Dine About Town on a Sunday night, we didn't get the best that Supperclub had to offer.  Still, DAT should be an opportunity for a restaurant to entice us with what they could offer if we paid more.  Supperclub's performance last night definitely did not deserve an encor visit from us.

Late lunch on a Wednesday, with mom, on a sunny day outside above the wharfs and Bay waters. Enjoyed the Ahi Tuna on Salad (with Bull's Blood greens giving it spice!) and the Cuban Pork Sandwich on Greens. Both nicely executed, tasty and fresh. Mission Rock service went out of their way, it was excellent, personal and outstanding; thanks, Kate! The Espresso was generous, and thoughtfully accompanied by a curly, zesty lemon rind. All together the perfect lazy lunch in post-industrial surroundings, quiet and unhurriedly. We'll be back for sure; the brunch looks very tempting...
