by Paul C. on Call me old fashioned but if I go to Ktown karaoke then I expect Ktown karaoke. I don't expect for employees to keep coming into our room starting at 1am to let us know that they're closing. I don't expect for the check to be dropped off at 1:30. And I most certainly don't expect for somebody to come in and take all of our bottles of alcohol at 1:40am. This place is priced slightly above most other places which is fine seeing that it's a nice establishment. I will never be returning. Honestly, I don't need to feel like I'm in an American style joint when I'm in Ktown. If you're looking to have a good time in traditional Ktwon style then look elsewhere. Can't get enough? This place turns into a club after 11pm and before that - its an asian/indian restauarant - even though i was there after 11pm, you could smell the curry delectables (note to self: must try the food sometime) The place is good for parties and birthdays, there's an upstairs with enough seating and a bar to host your friends. There are also plenty of tables which end up never being used anyway. Good place to hold your drinks, coats (if u dun wanna pay $4 for coat check) The layout of the club is a lil weird, cos there's this low fountain thing in the middle which makes walking around a bottleneck nightmare :P The bouncers are nice. The staff are pretty attentive. The drinks are the usual and the music is ok. In the beginning, it seemed like the DJ (who really is just playing music of his Mac) was stuck in the 80s. But I have to say it got progressive better as the night went on. There was even a belly dancer performance on the balcony where the DJ is situated. I was pretty impressed. Never went to a club with a belly dancer - go-go dancers yes, belly dancer with abs better than most men in the club, no. All in all, I left pretty drunk and happy, with my boy in tow.
