by K. K. on Surprised that this hasn't been rateclubsed yet... A place to dine with friends while taking in an outrageous burlesque show. The young owner, Simon Hammerstein of Circus fame, used thrift shop finds to create a funky, classic, theater interior. On a recent visit, it was an off night, filled with bridge and tunnel commuters. The midnight show still hadn't started after 1AM. I've found that it's best to get invited to a private party here. It gets packed during these parties, and the door is utter chaos, but a stellar crowd shows up, depending on the party. Or, you can make dinner reservations ($$$$) and max your plastic. Just note that the noise level makes conversation impossible.
