by Vanessa K. on Phoenix Landing and I have a love-hate relationship going. My friends and I hate going here and yet, we used to go at least twice a month. Why, you ask? Well, on a cold winter's day, my fellow Cambridgeons are just too lazy to make the trek down to Boston and Phoenix Landing, (which we've fondly nicknamed PL) is just a short hop and skip away from our apartments. The music is usually decent (80s nights), and there's never been a time when Journey was not played. I'm starting to think that "Don't Stop Believing" is one of Boston's theme songs, second only to "Sweet Caroline"... Anywho, I've never been here on a weekday, only on Friday and Saturday nights. The $5 cover is ok, as opposed to some other Boston bars/clubs that charge $10+. I also meet interesting and nice people in the girl's bathroom, but that's a story for another time! All in all, a good time with mediocre drink prices.
by Jacki Rafi on This place is too small. Usually when girls want to escape from guys at a club, they can easily move to another corner or another room. Not here. You keep on bumping into them!
