by Stormy J. on The club is AWESOME. the decor is suburb. The music is ok, a little to techno for me though. But the most horrible part is the STAFF. I can't believe they even got hired. Just completely rude and ruined my image of the place. I was there on a Friday with friends from out of the country, and now they think all American nightclubs are like that. don't waste your time.
by Wilber Schonack on I love the idea of Little Baobab, but the food was just okay. Came here with Steph P., and Sooj O., before the free Native Guns show at The Elbo Room. We started with the fried plantains. It was good, although Steph and I were longing for a little sugar sprinkled on top, but the tamarind dipping sauce eventually grew on us. The meat in our entrees (lamb and chicken) was overcooked, so the meat was tough. The tofu curry was very mild and lacking flavor, but maybe that's just how it supposed to taste. I will say that the couscous was excellent, very light and fluffy, and probably the best I've ever had. It's a bit cramped inside, but it wasn't crowded on a Monday night, so it wasn't that big of a deal. I think I want to try this restaurant's big brother, Bissap Baobab, to see if the food is any better over there, but I'd rather explore the rest of the Mission first.
