by erin p. on Three stars just for the AMAZING security staff who can and WILL go back in after you're outside and fetch the items you left behind. Also, one time the guy who checked my ID called me "boo." I can't say no to that. One star for the free before 11pm policy, without which I would never make it to Kontrol. Oh, and one star for Kontrol. Given the gross snobbery at almost every other club in the city about techno, I can't help but love this place for holding it down.
by Agustin Geissler on I can walk to Jillian's. That is a perk in and of itself. It is not a place that I would call myself a regular? But it is the best place to eat in the Metreon before seeing a movie with people who you care about (the ones you don't? Take them to the exploding colon Mexican Eatery there) or a nice meeting place for business. Food is good. Drinks are fine. And if you love lots of televisions showing lots of different sports events? Yeah....I guess that is nice too. Last time I was there? It was a business meeting with a fake agent that spent more time talking smack. He also showed up an hour late. So thank god for the lovely waitress who actually spent time with me beforehand talking about theater. Decent atmosphere and is really for special events. It's not cheesy like Bubba Gump's? But it does fall around that high end hotel scene in the area where people feel comfortable saying "I experienced some of San Francisco"
