by nazar b. on The best club in Hollywood. Go to their website to get on the guestlist, with it entrance is free till 10:30pm; then $20/head. Girls are usually in free all night. Park in the lot behind the club for $20, or across the street at Cat & Fiddle for $10, or two blocks away towards Hollywood on a side street for $10. On semi-frequent occasions they serve hot dogs or tacos inside the club, for FREE. It's a very nice touch. Inside, it's super nice, the patio is awesome, and the pretentious crowd is elsewhere in Hollywood.
by Jerrold Tower on We had lunch here yesterday because we thought it was the Tidal Wave, but we could not find Tidal Wave and ended up in the Hollywood Studio Bar. The prices were a bit more than we wanted to pay for lunch but we ordered anyway. My mom had Fried Shrimp with cole slaw, I had Chicken. We ordered crab cakes appetizer and they were about the size of my thumb and you only get three. Well which bite of one inch crab cake should we fight over ? The cole slaw was good, The shrimp were the best we have had in LA so far. We are used to Gulf Shrimp (great flavor shrimp, sought after by chefs). Over all the place had a nice decor, the waitors were nice and attentive. It was quiet and the music was very COOL. I wont be back because I was not overly impressed with the food for the price. In our book, the food better be great especially if its going to command a higher price. It does have a bar and i would suspect that the bar is the major source of revenue for this place on weekends.
