by Angela C. on An interesting club. There's a little section with games, a bar and a dance floor. The played some fun 80s music which our group was able to appreciate. They also had a live band that would play every so often which was entertaining. Not the cleanest place, a little sticky everywhere, the tables, floor etc. Very casual.
by Brandee Munns on Nightclubs follow a distinct formula. 1) Build hype either actively (ads) or passively (giving off an underground in-the-know vibe), 2) take momentum from hype to pack the bar every night with models and high rollers, 3) fizzle out. Tenjune has been around for about 7 months now, and it is still going strong. Although this place isn't much to look at (it is essentially a box in the basement), it has held one of the hardest doors in New York, with one of the best crowds, be that on account of its mystique or promoters. As would be expected, the drinks are pricey, but the party is wild--save time and reserve a table.
