by Kathleen C. on I've been to Mezzanine several times. Some shows are better than others. The staff aren't overly friendly and aren't overly rude. Drinks are expensive and not great. Just because you pour tons of crappy vodka in a mixed drink so I can get drunk faster doesn't mean it's a good drink. My last visit was this past Friday. I needed to use my credit card and keep an open tab. The bartender said sure but also needed my ID. I'm never asked to leave my ID, but okay. Sure enough, I leave without retrieving my ID and credit card. Totally my bad. It's now Friday, a week later, and I have yet to get someone at Mezzanine to help me get my items back. I've called twice, spoken to two different people who took my information and said they'd call me back. Still haven't heard back. All I want is to find out if my items are there and when I can stop by and get them. I'm not asking they hand deliver it to me. Besides, isn't it illegal to hold on to a person's ID against their will? I really didn't want to have to write this review, but this is getting ridiculous and I thought all you rateclubsers should know: if you go to Mezzanine don't leave your credit card and ID behind because who knows when you're going to get it back. The staff could give a damn.
by Collin Greb on I think this restaurant is overpriced and overrated. I mean, its still mexican. Who wants to pay $20 for a mexican dinner.. not me. The waterfall inside is pretty cool.. Maybe thats where the money is going, to pay their water bill.
