by Annie M. on I was suddenly hungry this afternoon, after hunting all over for Bay to Breakers costume items. From far away, I saw Nick's sign and I knew that this was the place to satiate our hunger. We stumbled in, weary and bewildered (thinking and executing a clever costume idea is apparently not our forte) and ordered the following: a small horchata, a small melon agua fresca, and then four tacos -- carne asada, pollo, pescado, and carnitas, all Nick's way. The horchata here really hit the spot, as did the melon agua fresca, which tasted like we were drinking bits of fresh melon. If I were to come back, I might skip the pollo and carnitas tacos (as they were just ok), and get all pescado tacos, Nick's way. Those were so good, so delicious, and hit the hunger spot so hard that I wasn't hungry again until late in the evening. Can't wait to come back here -- make sure to drop by if you're in the neighborhood!
by Bennett Pipe on Sweet and sexy~~ we went on a Thursday night 3 hot ladies, asian, white, and latina how could the bouncer resist? Which flavor would you like? The decor is very NYC! Love the booths and great staff. Last night was filled with beautiful people. Could it be because I had about 3 voldka tonics? hmmmm... Maybe since it was downtown there were a lot of out of town people. The crowd was definitely dressed up. Ladies in shirts and guys in jackets. Other than that it's a guest list only party on Thursdays. Drinks are about $9... bottle service starts at $260-600, I give it 4 stars because this would be a place I'd take my out of town guests just so they can experience the SLIDE and the ambience.
