by Paris Zaneski on Caveat - Only reviewing the pool hall section - So yes, I am new to the city but after doing a bit of research, I realized there aren't too many by the hour pool halls in downtown. My gf and I have gone several times (Sunday and a few during the week) and have really enjoyed ourselves, playing pool, talking trash to each other and having a few drinks. I can't comment on the bar section or the nighttime club atmosphere because we have not tried that yet, but from the reviews, sounds like we probably won't. So I give the pool hall section 5 stars because the service is fast and friendly, this area is clean and the tables/sticks are solid.
by Jeff S. on Thursday is by far the best night there as it isn't too crowded and overrun with MIT nerds and Euro trash. The line bit is annoying but usually goes quickly. It's nice they have Brooklyn Ale on tap. There is not enough room to dance when the music is really good unless you go Thursday or are there during the last call window.
