I haven't been to the place, but the website...?? How about including an address somewhere it's easily found? I found the address on rateclubs instead of their own website. Dumb.

I'm sitting by the window at the Sugar Cafe in San Francisco, right across from the Academy of Art University. It's the type of place that you could easily pass by without noticing, if it weren't for the fact that its sleek exterior sets it apart from all the other spots on this block. By Day: The place seems to offer your basic coffee selections, pastries that are much fresher and tastier than Starbucks, and free wi-fi. The windows bring in quite a bit of light, so it's typical to have all the seats in the front occupied by people typing away furiously on their laptops. There's also a row of computers right across from the entrance for those who may have forgotten their trusty MacBook. Not a bad place to study, read a book, take a break from it all. By Night: The decor consists of a nice, modern, minimalist blend of geometric shapes in cremes, browns, and teals. Up front, there are some comfy leather couches for lounging. Walking past the extended bar counter will lead you to a more private, dimly-lit space in back. There's hardwood flooring throughout, which I'm assuming provides for a great makeshift dance floor. There's also a dj booth tucked away upstairs, behind a glass panel, and a couple of overhead projectors that could easily flash party images onto the panel of opaque glass right above the windows. Caveat: I write this review, not having been here in the evenings or having tried anything other than a blueberry muffin and some coffee. What I see, though, is some phenomenal potential. I'm an out-of-town visitor staying in the neighborhood, but imagine I'd be a regular if I actually lived here.
