Very elegant setting. Perfect for socializing or for jus gettin' more acquainted with a new/special person in your Lyfe. NO Cover Chg. One down side is the climate control. I'm sure it wuz a lil warm because of the company I had, but there also didn't seem to be ANY Air Conditioning at all... Lol. All-in-All its a GREAT Experience!

The Old Fourth Ward is happening. It has attracted chefs that enjoy taking risks to make foods that are truly distinctive.  Café Circa is no exception. In a former, turn-of-the-century grocery store on Edgewood Avenue, Kevin Holt and Randy Hazelton opened a sophisticated eatery that focuses on diverse cuisines that have a touch of southern love.   At the helm of the kitchen is talented Chef Joey Zelinka (OLA, TAP, Rathbun's) a 26 year old who is willing to reach deep into those that influenced his approach to cooking to make foods that have character. The décor of the dining room has a sense of warmth and comfort, but it's the chic bar that pulls it all together.  The Circa Caipirinha is a revitalizing, refreshing drink of fresh orange with muddled lime and grapes in simple syrup with cachaça. A nice twist on the national drink of Brazil, but it's the El Vaquero Rojo Margarita that took my breath away. A perfect blend of Cielo Blanco tequila, Thatcher Organic Pomegranate Liquor,  and lime juice with a touch of sweet lovin'.  After a hard day or simply the need to take an edge off, this is it.... The only dish not created by Chef Zelinka is the Dorothy's Gumbo, made by Louisiana native, Dorothy Ware.  A great gumbo should be rich and comforting with hardy flavors, this is it, probably the best in Atlanta.  Chef Zelinka takes on the Big Easy with his skewers of lightly fried buttermilk jumbo shrimp with grilled Patak andouille sausage.  The sweet shrimp flavors are married with the spicy andouille and brought to life with the pistachio-driven Romesco sauce and pickled jalapenos.  Another Cajun-like treat is the Lump Crab Fritters.  Dip these lightly fried fritters in the champagne aioli and Hoisin sauce, and enjoy the explosion of heavenly tastes from the crab, ginger, and garlic.  The Fish and Chips is a must.  It's a mound of delicate, diced Ahi tuna tossed in a tangy garlic mayonnaise with cilantro chiffonade served with crisp sweet potato chips.  Of the starters, the most intriguing is the Sweetwater 420 beer poached Prince Edward Island's mussels. These plump juicy mussels scream with a pleasant mouth-watering hoppy flavor, and come to the table bathing in a tomato-based sauce with fennel, chorizo, and smoked paprika.  Make sure you ask for another baguette, you will want it. It's a tribute to ones skills to take less than desirable cuts of meat and create culinary masterpieces.  The imaginative Kobe Burger on a malty Pretzel Bun showcases Chef Zelinka's creativity.  To make this "melt in your mouth" burger complete, Nueske's bacon, Tillamook cheddar cheese, and a house-made Chinese mustard are added to enhance the rich juicy beef flavors.  The soulful oxtails are moist, savory morsels of beef that are braised for 6 hours in a mirepoix, red wine, veal stock, and thyme reduction which is then used to make a "to die for" black eyed pea puree. The French inspired, Steak Au Poivre, is an ultra-tender pan seared flat iron steak coated with a lively green peppercorn crust and a yummy Cognac cream sauce. Bite after bite this simple yet sophisticated meat retains its robust flavors, recommend medium rare. SOUL COMES TO THE OLD FOURTH WARD AT CAFE CIRCA To bring a fine meal to closure, the freshly made apple cobbler made with Braeburn apples and Chardonnay is a perfect way to put those taste buds to rest.  It's fun to see folks like Kevin, Randy, and Joey who want to be part of the changing scene on Edgewood and the Old Fourth Ward by turning out high quality foods in a fun-filled, relaxing atmosphere.  Do yourself a favor and visit Café Circa; you will want to go back to this gem soon thereafter.

Ratings kinda low for Suite 181. Maybe expectations are too high..... Are you looking for "Love in the Club" - settle for an admirer palming your ass with no remorse - live a little Are you looking for ventilation  - go to the beach Are you looking for $5 admission - get a printer and bring your damn email guest pass dumb ass Are you disgusted by crackheads insulting you while you wait in line to get in - stay OUT of San Francisco if you can't embrace addicted and/or homeless persons Are you having an "OMG Becky!" moment in the sweltering hot basement level - don't go down there if you can't shake it to make it Are you desperate to sit down but you only see VIP ropes - cross them. I wish a bouncer would pick me up and throw me over his shoulder - swoon..........
