We had a decent meal here. Good steak, lots to drink and made a run to a few other spots. The place is old school looking, like a 70's Vegas steakhouse and the service was really good. The bill was fairly spendy considering the quality/ambiance. Hence, I'd call it an "ok" choice....probably will try something new next time.

Wow, like the other reviews state, get the fried goat cheese!! It was delicious! Just serve me up a whole plate of those, and I would be one happy woman. For my entree I ordered a pasta dish ( which I can't even remember which one) which was less than memorable. I appreciated the saving grace of freshly made pasta. Service was a little less than attentive and my lady friends and I waited impatiently and starving while we waited to place our orders. I'm definitely up for giving them another try. Oh yes, make sure you try some of the homemade truffles, one word: decadent!

Nice spot we thought. I went to the Show Room to meet some friends I hadn't seen in years. I was accompanied by 2 other bartenders and the rest of our table were already there. We tried to order our drinks at the bar from another "east side I am fucking rad" kid in a vest and disdain for his customers written all over his face. After dropping drink menus at us and sauntering off to the other side of the bar to hopefully look in a mirror and tell himself "I am an artist", we chose some drinks. Then he said, are you going outside because if you are you have a waiter out there.... So outside we go and meet the friends. And just when you thought wow, here we go..out comes the waitress we have all had to become accustomed to in the newly formed east-side "I bought out a Mexican family from their store and put some old bottles in it and that makes me awesome" restaurants..... Well, you can all guess but she was mean, condescending, super awesome cool in her outfit and pretty much peed on us for ordering a round of drinks. The beers and a mixed drink took about 15 minutes to get to us, and the place had slowed down. At one point while waiting for our drinks our waitress came out and smoked a cigarette. I think everyone was so amazed we didn't even know what to say. What a mess of a staff this is. In a bar someone put a lot of thought into. Pretentious drink menus, trendy trend galore. Someone should go over what decent service means. I think they may have gotten confused and thought they were opening a bar in LA. No one in Austin wants to be treated like that. The "we are better than you" gimmick just doesn't fly here. Because the five service industry people at the table will tell their friends and co workers how lame-ass the trip was. Our drinks were good. That's the sad part. We tipped well anyhow out of our own refusal to punish people through percentages. Normally its a 30% tipping table but that would have been a travesty.
