by Bella B. on HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! My boyfriend took me there for my birthday. We had a reservation made 2 weeks in advanced for 6/13... on the 12th they called us to confirm our reservation but not for the correct date we had initially made it for.... they apologized and gave us an 8pm reservation on the 13th. We got there at 7:45 and they said it would be a short wait and to wait by the bar (but I could see empty tables!). We were at the bar buying their rediculiously over priced drinks for over an hour until they finallly sat us... the worst part was watching empty tables be filled by walk ins that had no reservation.... ugh The food was OK but not worth the price! Our waiter was the snobbiest asshole! When we ordered desert I told him it was my birthday and as a JOKE I told him I wanted them to sing happy birthday to me.... seriously it was a joke! He said "we dont do that here" with a nasty bitchy look on his face. And not once did he even say happy birthday! Really??? I waited tables for years and when you know its a birthday of a customer at one of your tables, you ALWAYS say happy birthday! This was by far the worst waiter experience I have EVER had!!...especially for such a reputable place. I couldn't wait to get out of there! I probably should have tried to speak to a manager about the whole ordeal but I was just so disgusted I couldn't wait to leave!

First off, I find it ridiculously hard to fathom that after 5 years of living in SF plus the nonstop "Lime this, Lime that" talk that my gay friends have been going on about for years, that I have only visited this place for the first time last Sunday. *Gasp... Getting reservations at Lime is like being a broke guy in Vegas with no cute girlfriends to get you in--GOOD LUCK. My girlfriend called a month in advance to set up a time for my birthday brunch...and even then we had to settle for 10:30AM--which was actually a good time for me...but not so good when you're running on 3 hours of sleep from the night before. I don't suggest walking into Lime with no reservations...do yourself a favor and call a couple weeks in advance. Anyway, the food is exceptionally tasty considering the fact that it looks like an LA CLUB inside. I came in for brunch and ordered the Eggs Benedict and shared the French Toast with my girlfriend. Both plates were delicious! I suggest ordering any of the two and/or their Huevos Rancheros--a little taste of the Mission in the Castro; and it was super fresh! If that isn't enough to get you calling in for reservations....how about BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS? Need I say more? This is the quintessential Sex and the City spot for all of you lovely ladies and gentlemen in SF. A great spot to drink with your girls, get your groove on in plush white leather seats while downing mimosas and eating delectable food. Love it! I'm already planning my next trip there. ;)

Headlining acts do not go on until like midnight Ya, sweet, I paid $18 to see Siriu5 or some other bad local house DJ spin for as long as Boys Noize did. Same problem at virtually every show I go to here. 2. Resident DJs are not good. If you've taken MDMA and/or are drunk, they are probably good. 3. The bar is decent and the outdoor smoking area is nice and big. 4. Parking is usually fine. Biking here is an adventure with drunk drivers on 16th St. at night.
