by Winkie W. on So there are two sides of this place, outside and inside the club. Inside was amazing. The elegant and zen outdoor decor, fireplace, dance floor and friendly bathroom attendant and bartender made this place really wonderful. If I were to rate based on the inside of the club, I would definitely give it 5 stars. HOWEVER, the outside of this place, which I am only referring to the bouncers, is horrible. One in particular is a major douchbag. He should totally be fired because his attitude alone convinced my friends and I to not return to this place to host or participate in any event. I went here because my friend was hosting a birthday party and the stupid bouncer was being rude to my friend for no reason at all. Why was an employee being rude to a customer who brought like 80 patrons to the club is beyond me. Aside from the front door drama, this place is really nice, so I would recommend to come here for happy hour or whatever but definitely not for the club. The front door drama is a turn off and may ruin your night of fun.
by Tonja Keeble on This is a great neighborhood spot!! Early in the week there is no door cover, but there still is the $15 bar or $20 Table (per person) drink/food min. The door cover resumes as the week wears on. Some great talent plays here. It's also VERY VERY SMALL. So, don't hesitate to hop onto http://www.opentable.comand make yourself a reservation...otherwise you will end up waiting in the line that forms outside most every night! UPDATE: March 2008 Smoke serves food now (has for some months but wanted to test it out before adding this.) Food was good - music - GREAT!!!
