A union square club that my company had its holiday party at. I don't remember much since I was drunk as hell. But the few glimpses I remember were amazing!

I can't even believe people wait in line for this place. I have nothing good to say except that I did like a few of the bartenders, and the doorman was pretty funny. The coat check woman was pleasant as well, even as I was openly verbally trashing the place right in front of her. We thought it was 80's night. It wasn't. We went anyway. We were dancing, but it was so packed it was uncomfortable. I heard at least 5 glasses break as they were drunkenly dropped to the floor. I was at least in good company, but when I was separated from the boy and his friends for only 2 minutes to go pay my tab, I got really fed up. I make my way to the bar and squeeze into a spot behind some drunk guy (they ARE everywhere, it IS a bar). The woman next to me is swaying drunkenly, bumping into me a little but whatever, she's just having a good time. A guy comes up behind her and puts his arms around her...and in HIS drunken state, accidentally hooks his hand around MY arm. I thought it was really funny actually, he was really apologetic once I lifted his arm off me with my own hand and put it on his woman's. NEXT, another man sidles up next to me at the bar. By "sidles" I actually mean "slams into me like a linebacker." I look at him, and he starts mumbling incoherently. He offers to buy me a drink and I continue to shut him down. He doesn't get it, my tab comes, and for some reason he reaches over and pretends to grab my tab away. No more nice Nicole. I snapped at him and told him to eff off, and he slunk away. A bartender came over and said, "I liked the way you dealt with that." I don't want to go to places where I have to deal with that. So thanks, staff, but I think I'm just going to stick to what I know I DO like.

4 Stars Our first night here in L.A., and a friend told me to check this place out at night. I was able to text the promoter and get on the guestlist....which was cool since it was past 7p (goodlookinout Ryan). After pre-fading in the car, we walked up, and I know it was 10p and that's early, but we were one of the 1st 10 people there.......i guess everyone was right....it ended up being a late crowd. Lemme cut this short and give you a quick list Good: - Everyone was very friendly (promoter, bartenders, bathroom attendants, and security) - Set-up was really nice (like an old English home) - Plenty of room to sit and talk while having drinks - Good music Not So Good: - $20 cover for guys (guestlist or not) - Drinks were not so good - Email girl stopped a few people while they were dancing to get their email address - Outside area smelled like emphysema from all that smoke! I'm sure we'll be back here again, maybe even for dinner next time.
