Went here last night for the Rockabilly night (not that I'm a fan, just happened to be the only night we could go. We got there early in anticipation of long lines, but the front door guy told us not to worry as it won't be that type of night. He suggested we walk over to Little Tokyo and we did for some quick and delicous food. We got back and the door finally opened up at 9:15ish. The inside was pretty cool, with red lights everywhere and the decor like everyone else has mentioned. The place is small and we snagged some seats along the north end of the dance floor and listened to recorded rockabilly music while the band set up. Unfortunately, we left at 11:00 as our sitter was going home and missed out on the band. The place was filling up when we left and we met some real nice people next to us (Angie and her sister Virginia, who also had to leave early to pick their kids up as well). We definetly will come back for the burlesque show with enough time. Oh, for parking, we parked around the block across the city personnel building and with no hassle. LIke mentioned before, a different thing to do on date night!! I dropped a star due to the band starting late and kinda felt ripped off with my cover charge (although my wife had her night made when the front carded her. who-hoo!!

I used to go here a lot when I worked with a guy who knew the bartenders and bouncers. We got in for free and were good for at least a few comped drinks while we were there. The big attraction for me was that wasn't in Buckhead and had a seemingly more sophisticated crowd in comparison. It's a cool layout with Cosmopolitan and Lava being essentially two bars in one. It gives you a chance to move around and mingle in multiple locations. Of course, I was single and a bit younger when I was going there regularly, so my opinion would probably be different now. I've transitioned to the dive bar and hole in the wall scene now. I worry more about cold beer and good fried snacks than scenes or meeting people.
