by Arlyne Dorvillier on ASIANS ALERT!! I'm not gonna lie, I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about Vanguard, and when my friend finally convinced me to go with her, I was pretty apprehensive. BUT, I actually really enjoyed myself here. Visionshock and Friction are the promoters for Friday nights, so the crowd is about 98% asian. No joke. Get here early, the line gets pretty long to get in. Knowing promoters and skipping the line = awesome. The dance floor is HUGE, which is always nice so you don't end up rubbing against other ppl, though the floor does get crowded after 11. VIP room is upstairs, and completely set apart from the rest of the club. It's pretty huge for a VIP room too. The bartenders are all awesome, super friendly people. $5 vodka shots?? how can you go wrong?? Huge patio outside for smokers and those who need some fresh air. The music is great, hip hop top 40 booty-shakin' tunes, and the sound system there is amazing. My ears are still ringing!!!
