We went on Sunday afternoon and sat upstairs on the fire boat. $75 for a burger and a dog and few beers... okay, it was closer to 8 beers... might seems steep... okay, it is a steep... Okay, let me back up - this is a great place. You are on a boat on the Hudson - you climb up and down ladders and there is rust everywhere. The food is yummy - really. The beers are warm. The folks around you are fun or pain in the neck frat boys but it is just a hoot. My advice - buy pitchers of beer, don't wear flip flips, tetanus shot is a good idea, and enjoy!!! You just can't beat the view and outside is New York is the best
by Lauryn Mbonu on I've had many a great Thursday night dancing in the basement of the Maritime Hotel at this hotspot, although unless you know someone, or the evening's password, you're probably going to have to wait in a (sometimes excruciatingly) long line. Drinks are expensive, with a $50 credit card minimum. The venue itself is gorgeous, all with a very trendy Japanese motif (to match it's neighbour, restaurant Matsuri), with a gorgeous vaulted ceiling. I avoid this place on weekends, being that it's too busy and often over crowded with typical meatpacking types.
