by Sook Krenik on There was about 15 minutes of confusion in the beginning of our arrival, but luckily we made it to our "bed" soon after and what an amazing space this is! I don't think I've seen anything like this before ;) The entire dinner lasted for over 4 hours and the surprise prix fixe 5-course meal consisted of (sorry, I don't remember the exact details of the dish): -Arugula salad with garlic cruotons -Seared peppered ahi tuna -Cauliflower and cheese soup -Kobe beef with sweet potatoes -Pistachio flan The wait time for each dish was approximately 45 minutes and that made me extremely hungry, so I ravenously scarfed down each dish as they came out (that's just an excuse, I do that even if I'm *not* hungry). The food was better than I had anticipated, except for the soup and dessert. Our waiter who was entertaining and outrageously dressed, handled everything and everyone around us very well (even with our early request for the check). And judging by the recent reviews on rateclub, it was a good decision to have dinner before the event; otherwise we would have been crammed down at the bar area, which is an uncomfortably small space, especially for over 300 people. I would have to say that my favorite part of the restaurant were the beds and I enjoyed this unique experience at Supperclub, for I would not have been able to attend otherwise if it were not for rateclub dinner discount! My only complaint (which does not affect my Supperclub rating) is for a few (ok, several) misbehaved rateclubers: if it were not for rateclub hosting this event would you still have acted like immature and uncivilized punks (i.e. running across everyone's bed instead of politely walking on the designated walkway, crashing onto innocent rateclubers' beds, among other obnoxious things)? I think not.
