I went to see Cat Power about a month ago, and it was the week in winter when it was about 17-25 degrees out. The venue had us waiting outside for almost an hour in the freezing cold!! Digressing, the venue was simply stunning. I loved the mood of the place and the small stage that Chan (Cat Power) performed on. The floor space was perfectly roomy enough and the audience was orderly. No tall people in the front row because there was enough space to seat yourself on the floor and enjoy the show. I sat down because I am one of those annoying tall people in the way. I think everyone in the house had a pretty decent view.
by Andrew L. on A great looking venue that more often than not is ruined by the backwards baseball hat wearing marina crowd that it attracts. It seems like half the people that come here just bought a ticket not even knowing who's playing and think it'll be perfectly cool if they just talk super loudly the whole show and pretend there's not even a band on stage. After recently seeing the great french band 'Phoenix' there, I overheard one disappointed fratboy loser exclaim, "What? There's no DJ? That sucks!". Yes it does, douche, yes it does...
