by John M. on The short version : MEDJOOL SUCKS!!!!! The slightly longer version: We were in here early in the evening having some beverages and having an ok time. It seemed like everyone was there to be seen and flash their shit. I was with some friends so the good company made up for it. Then my friends stepped out to have a cigarette. They wouldn't let my buddy back in because he had on white shoes. We were all dressed nicely and apparently our money was good earlier. SInce it was after 10 or something the dress code changed. I understand they have their rules but WE HAD DRINKS INSIDE THAT WE HAD ALREADY PAID FOR!!!!!!!!!!!! Bottom line they wouldn't let us back in to finish our drinks or refund our money. That was some Bullsh*t!!!!!
by Ronnie Fanucchi on When I have to connect through Atlanta, I'm always tempted to delay my flight long enough to take MARTA into town for a quick stop at the Varsity. I'm 62 now but I long for my youth and visiting my brother at GA Tech and dining on Varsity hot dogs and onion rings. Health food, it isn't but I love that junk food and it brings back great memories...one of these days, I'll stop by again and indulge myself! There's nothing like it in San Francisco!
