Wow, the new nightlife continues in semi-SOMA. This whole Minna alley area should be dedicated to nightlife as it seems to beckon the late night visitors. Getting through the door was not an issue, the guy is doing his job. The space gives off a lower east side feel at first, but the hidden gems are slowly revealed as you drift through. Custom tabletops, exposed beams, dark but not creepy artwork. Upstairs is so pure and white. DJ was pretty weak to start with, but got better as the night progressed. The night got even crazier after a few of the Warriors showed up to party. Not sure on the official open date, but it looks like Harlot is here to stay.

PROS: Went on an off night with my friend Alana Cash, and we stuck to the good tequilas and sat close to the front stage to hear an INCREDIBLE percussion group. Sampled some plantain chips and we were happy. Crowd was chill, service couldn't have been more helpful, and the candle lit room worked well with the music. Pleasant. CONS: Fills up to the rim on weekends with a kind of amateur crowd, so would avoid. Restaurant vibe has VERY LITTLE in common with Cuba...there's no looseness, no color, just a bunch of entitled white people gulping mojitos and texting to their heart's content. Only on a slow night...
