by Paul G. on I just went back to Hill-Bert's after a brief sojourn and a sampling of some of the 'other places' in town. That was a mistake. Let me say this: A really good burger joint is about the burger, the fries, the people, the place and the atmosphere. I am tired of these trendy new places 'posing' as cool. I don't want to show off my new car, I want to eat a delicious hamburger with other people who appreciate it just like me. HIll-Bert's appreciates their customers and we appreciate their great burgers! These folks have been around and they know what they are doing...a fine place, fine people and a mighty fine burger!
by Genaro Pasqual on I love this place! I am going there again tonight actually. I bring all of my out of town guests here and everyone always loves it. (My dad walked in there for the first time and said at the top of his lungs..."This place is AWESOME" ) The decor is delightfully tacky and over the top. The food is great...pretty big portions for the price too! I have had several items off of the menu and loves all of them. Also, all of the people that I have brought there have raved about the food too. From a vegetarian aspect the options are huge but I love what they do have. I have heard that the drinks are great....a few of my friends have raved about the pomegranate margaritas. The dips that they give you when you first arrive are so fantastic, especially the bean dip. I love that dip.....mmmmmm so very good! Parking can be difficult but what can you expect from the Cahuenga Corridor! We go there a lot either before or after movies at the Arclight so we just walk over from the Arclight lot. It can get crowded but if you go around 7ish you should be ok. One con....it is not open for lunch on weekends which just seems so strange to me! That is actually the only reason why I gave it four stars.
