by Courtney Sain on Dude, OK, yeah, there are like 5 million reviews for this place but I don't have a job and I've got time to kill for crying out loud, plus I really love this place so DEAL WITH IT. Bimbo's is a gorgeous, perfect venue. I saw CocoRosie there like a month ago or whenever it was and I really truly had the best time I've had at a show in like, forever! It's such a good size - it feels intimate and whispery while simultaneously holding a buttload of people (half of which are hiding in the back room drinking champagne cocktails - Hi Clare and Autumn!). The sound was really good, in my amateur opinion, and considering I was listening to what pretty much amounted to a combination of opera and hip-hop (gawrsh I love CocoRosie!), I think that was a good gauge. After the show the whole gang headed across the street to that bar where the bartender acts like she hates you, but we didn't give an eff once we found out there was Indian food there as well. HELLO, samosas! That was the perfect end to a lovely night.
