by Krissy W. on If you follow my reviews (ahem, A Touch of Romance, anyone?) you know that deep down I'm a good girl who sometimes gets caught up in raunchy situations. As last night was my final foray as a single girl (I'm getting married next Friday), it only made sense that I let my friends take me to see the Hollywood Men. Holy Hell, you guys. I mean, HOLY HELL. I went here once before when I was like 19 (back when they were still near the Wiltern), and it was all great fun... Especially when the hunky blonde dancer came into the audience, kissed me on the cheek, told me I was beautiful and then tried to invite me out afterward. Granted, at the ripe old age of 19 I was like a FETUS, but whatevs. Fast forward to last night, when nine of my friends accompanied me for a night of booze, penis-shaped candy, and men covered in oil. Was it a highly choreographed work of art? No. Was it a fun show with guys romping around in ill-fitting thongs? Yes. As long as you know what you're going in for, then there shouldn't be any room for disappointment. Oh, and yes, I did get pulled up on stage for the special 'I'll Make Love to You' dance. And it was special indeed. As was my brief backstage "tour." Ahem. I'll just say this... When my friends made me go up later on for a lap dance, I was blown away to discover that my dancer not only remembered who I was, but could describe (in detail) what he remembered my underwear looking like. Definitely a night to remember.
by Khalilah Muncrief on I went to see Markus Schulz there last year and he was playing after hours. I got there at about 4am and when I got there, the place was TRASHED! there were water bottles ALL over the floor (so piled up that they were COVERING the stairs and there were people that were falling on them!!) The only people that were in there were a bunch of fucked up asians who were shaking themselves... It was really weird. The patio was kick ass and head great music too but inside was just a wreck. I was really unimpressed.. But, I also heard that it is REALLY kick ass for regular hours.. Anyways, this is my review... doy!
