by Jackie A. on Trudy's is a well run restaurant. The staff is knowledgeable and professional. Their food and beverage are incredibly consistent. It's a like fine tuned machine. In the years I've been going to Trudy's, I've never, ever, ever: -Waited longer than five minutes for my drink -Waited longer than 20 minutes for my food -Received the something other than what I ordered -Received cold food -Had a miscalculated check I've worked in restaurants for a good long while, and these things really matter to me. I can overlook the loud atmosphere, the long wait times, the not-so-mindblowing food because I know that I'm going to have a good drinks, good service, and an entree I enjoy (the Botana Sampler- I get it 99% of the time). It's an easy choice because I know absolutely nothing will be fucked up. I'll have an enjoyable experience because it's a well run place that I can always count on.
by Desmond Beanblossom on This is one of the few (if not the only) dance clubs in San Francisco where they don't make me feel like I'm less of a human being because I'm not dressed like a coked-up slut. It's all about having a good time and having geek-gasms every 2 minutes because the DJ (or their amazing live band--who knew it could be done??!) found a ridiculous way to mash The Guess Who with Snoop & Pharrell.
