by Yvonne G. on Don't waste your time here! My girl and I were visiting from LA/Orange County area, and were told to go check it out. Don't waste your time I have been to more fun places near skid row LA, no kiddding. The place is whack, overpriced, crowd is ok, drinks weak and pretentioous (And i frequent cool places in LA) so trust me I know. If you are vising from LA, go to 230 5th Roof Top Lounge, that is an excellent place, and everthing about it is perfection.
by Eldora Noerenberg on Normally I like this bar - the art deco, but tonight I didn't. The fact that my friend ED M was told not to dance because he was shaking the floor was absurd. This skinny cap / sunglasses wearing / texting addict / square sweater wearing / velcro shoe asshole was out of line. Not only did he discriminate and humiliate my friend, I'm surprise ED didn't go berserk on his ass. I think this guy was a friend or booking manager of J Rocc. I thought his set could of been better because of the hype. I was expecting the hype, all I heard was a normal hip hop funk DJ playing any Friday night. All the tracks were trendy / sold out / nothing you haven't heard before. His mixing style was train-wrecking, play it till the end / stop / mix. He was having problems mixing himself, I know, because I used to do that all the time. Plus, he was having tuning difficulties in the beginning and people were harassing him during his set. I know I don't like the interruption while I play. It's like someone throwing a water bottle at you while you are playing a rock show. He was worst even if Ed didn't do anything. He was struggling from the get-go and not to mention "someone on the other side" if you know what I mean. J Rocc fans, I'm sorry, I give him a benefit of a doubt if he was playing in LA with his decks and homeboys, but SF hasn't gave you any respect. Did I mention, I saw MINORS at this place and worst DRINKING! I saw kids sneaking in and out of this place. ED, I'm sorry to hear about your situation, but that guy deserves to eat his own poo, not you.
