We were in town for just a few days, and so it was really hard to decide exactly where to eat in a city full of fantastic restaurants. Stick with the old stand by's that I love or take a risk. South City Kitchen was a risk I was so happy to have taken. We started with the oysters and man! They were delicious. Then my husband got the gumbo and asked for a little extra spice. He got that spice and some of the best gumbo he said he'd ever eaten. I opted for the lighter fair of the chicken thighs. Whoa! Glad I did. They were delicious as was the side of okra I ordered, too. It was so good to be back in Atlanta eating good Southern cuisine that was taken up just that extra notch. Next time I'm in town I know of one place I'll need to revisit for sure- South City Kitchen.

this is a hell of a lot better than some of the clubs i've been to around the area only because of it's huge space. inside is super huge and you can breathe!!! the music is extra loud but it's a club, so no worries. at one point i was able to dance and not rub elbows with someone but that didn't last long. it's crowded but bearable. the drinks are expensive, but i don't pay for mine so i can't complain. i don't know if it was that particular bartender but the drinks weren't watered down. i had a long island and you can really taste the alcohol. i was buzzing within minutes.
