by Melissa M. on So I keep saying on all my reviews of clubs and lounges and stuff that I'm not much of a clubber...and I'm not, I swear! Lol...I just like to go and show my support to whenever my friend djs (DJ Benkay! love him). Anyway, so it's a Thursday night, my friend and I get there and we find parking on the street so we don't have to pay for valet. We walk to the lounge and....nothing but asians! With the occasional white guy walking around lol...o, and my mexican friend. The crowd was super nice; I think I'm starting to like the asian crowd more since I've been to Avec.... Anyway, my friend spent $64 on drinks for the both of us...I had 3 drinks, and I think he had 3 drinks also...maybe 4...there was a go-go working the pole. She was freaken amazing, she worked that pole effortlessly! I met her when I was walking out of the restroom, she was super sweet. The whole set-up of this lounge is pretty cool too. I really liked the fireplace in the first room. They also had a little photo booth to take pictures. I've never seen one at a lounge/club before! And I liked how the dj booth was like mounted pretty high up...so yah, pretty cool place! Kinda small, but not too crowded, which is a plus to me! I would definitely come back if my friend were dj'ing here again.
by Oralee Mcgaughey on Things I like: - wild range of expats, from Britain to Brazil - the downstairs restaurant acts as a vast chill-out area. - never had to wait for the men's room Not so hot: - upstairs dance area is sick crowded - this is not a terribly sophisticated crowd - DJ ruining some fine house music by mixing in eighties music. I did the eighties already. The music was only marginally better than the hairstyles. Enjoyed myself though.
