by Tania K. on I definitely enjoyed my experience at The Edision due to the flashback in time set-up alongisde the vibe and energy from the surrounding crowd. The Edison's unique 1920's display includes black and white silent film footage that plays on the walls and large antique engine parts as decor. I was also blown away by the Absynthe fairy complete with extensive costume including neon-illuminated wings (who's seen Europtrip??). She pushed around a cart bottles and shots of pomegranate and pineapple flavors. Curiousity was never enough for me to try Absynthe, but I have to admit that it was the atmosphere, fairy included, that made me try both flavors. Did not enjoy the two shots, but ultimately glad I tried it to complete the experience. On the menu: Their menu is limited to appetizers, so our group ordered wings, fries, and the grilled cheese and tomato basil soup which was absolutely delicious -- mind you I am not the fan for cheese. The fries had a spicy kick to it. Pretty good. The music was amazing. Upbeat Jazz perfect for the crowd to dance a fox-trot/swing. Very classy. My kind of spot.
by Francis Sirak on I was shuffled in here the minute Icon closed (it's right next door), and it was like entering a new world...I suppose it was 80's night, but I really was extremely drunk. I remember thinking that everyone there was on drugs, and then singing at the top of my lungs "I CAN'T WAIT...UNTIL YOU CALL ME ON THE TELEPHONE..." (my fave old school song (Nu Shooz). And then it was over.
