I knew this because I went to college with a lot of Jake's, however they were more like Elton, Gordon, and Brant...the frat boys of our day. Now there were many things that I appreciated about the frat crowd, they knew how to drink (this bar knows how to serve), they knew how to play (this bar has beer pong and foose ball), and most importantly they knew some hot chicks (on occasion this bar pulls some fine trim). As much as I appreciated Jake and his brethren there were things I also hated about them, and hence things I hate about this bar. They and their houses were disgusting (the bar is nothing nice), they wear obnoxious clothing (a lot of the people here are UWS frat...which in my opinion is a notch below the trash that is on the streets of Manhattan come garbage day)...and finally the frat kids always wore sunglasses on strings (croakies as they were called)...granted this has nothing to do with the bar, but what the fuck is up with that? Anyways, my advice would be to never visit the UWS or the UES majority of the time for that matter. However if you are stuck in this area and need a good cheap bar with some annoying people, but beerpong...I would say to suck it up, go to the bar, order about 10 shots and then you will be in the right mindset. Also beware of the frat guys, they run in packs and usually have post college stress disorder...avoid these douches at all costs. So overall, nice try Jake...if that is your real name, but this bar will never be part of the best bars in nyc.
