by sheri l. on Came here for a friends bachelorette dinner before heading over to blvd 3. The place is quirky and full of personality ... love it. They have cute bartenders and yummy, stiff $5.00 margaritas! We had an 8:00 reservation and didn't get seated til about 30-40 minutes after our reservation. Our waiter was a JERK ... he was really rude, slow and grumpy. He got no tip and because of him, I took off a star! The other waiter in our area seemed so much nicer and we wanted to switch! haha The food ... I ordered the chicken mole which said it "is the best you'll ever taste" and it was far from that! The chicken was dry, the mole sauce was bland and there's a weird potato salad thing that was served with it. My friend had the veggie tamales which she didn't care for either. The others said they liked their food but I didn't taste them so I'll take their word for it. I did have the shrimp bisque with my meal and that was realllllly good! All the entrees are the same price so you are going with a big party at least you don't have to mess with figuring out the bill! I would definitely come again for some $5.00 margaritas! And I wouldn't mind trying the food again too since everyone else liked their dishes.
by Eddy Gomillion on I've been to this place many times and I would have to say that I have never truly enjoyed myself. There is usually a cover $20 or so. Drink prices are what I would expect so I'm not going to complain about that. The decor. Sure as you walk in there's that bed in the center but that's about the nicest thing there is. The floor is just cement. It is usually sticky from drink spillage. The music isn't the best. I was OK with going to a shitty club in a bad neighborhood until last time I was there. I was signing my bill from the waitress. Next thing I know my drink is gone. It's 1:35 is so I should be allowed to finish my drink. Especially when I had just signed my receipt for $380. I asked the waitress WTF she did with my drink and she said it was last call anyway. Yes, I get it last call not finish up your drink and get the fuck out time. I told her I didn't want to make a big deal of it I just wanted my drink back which I had only taken one sip of. She said she would get it but never came back. Bitch! I complained to someone who I was told was in charge. But, as you could guess it was already past 2am. So there was no point I wasn't going to get a drink at this point. The person I was referred to, some girl had the nerve to tell me I was drunk enough anyway. Huh? I had only had 3 drinks in 4 hours. I guess she assumed I had amassed my bill by myself. Either way this shitty place has seen the last of me. I would tell anyone that there are much better places to go with a better overall vibe that might be less expensive.
