I went here based on the rateclubs reviews. I stood in line forever, and the 8 people in front of us were kicked out of line without any reason (ok, there were 5 guys with them), after waiting for like an hour in line. I hate this sh*t at clubs, so asocial and plain stupid. Anyway, inside it was crowded, housemusic, but a nice surprise was that a life singer came. Drinks expensive, it's nice that there is an outside area for smokers or if you want some fresh smokey air. But you can't sit anywhere, only tableservice, that REALLY sucks. I didn't feel the vibe at all. I am never going back.

Webster Hall, Case And Point: While I was there for Sebadoh I turned to my friend and said "It's amazing how Webster Hall can even turn the bass up too loud on f-ing SEBADOH, isn't it?" Moments later, the masses of 19 year old NYU students who populate the Hall's GA space managed to CONVINCE THE SOUND GUY TO TURN THE BASS UP EVEN MORE. Also, they charge $7 for a Budweiser. And if you're in VIP, you have to go through a girl standing in a section roped off in front of the bar instead of just ordering from the bartendress, which is bizarre. Not to mention the horrible decor. Oh, and the 6:30 door times? Ridiculous. To sum it up, the sound is awful, the crowd is terrible, the drinks are expensive, and it's hideous. I wish that Bowery Presents would find a different large capacity space, because I end up here all the time and it makes me want to die a little. PS- James Iha is ALWAYS HERE. He has his own personal little groove worn in the floor. He might sleep in the green room, I'm not sure. Just letting you all know.
