Went here last night for a private birthday party....located along downtown Alhambra's busy Main St., it's one of the popular restaurants along the strip. Walking in, the first thing you notice is the huge bar enticing you to start off your visit with a nice stiff drink, but I settled for a big glass of hef instead.. There's a dining area downstairs, and one patio dining area upstairs. My friend rented out the top floor for her party. Basically all she did was pay for the food that's good for about 50 people (roughly $800 worth) and she had the place the whole night...not a bad deal. They even let her bring her own food on top of that. The restaurant's food was good from what I had the chance to try out. Might be worth another trip to check out their other selections. There's also another fully stocked bar upstairs by the way. Overall, the place has a really nice chill vibe, and the service and staff are really cool, and made sure everybody at the party had a great time...

It's unfortunate that this place has such a large suck quotient, because the space itself is pretty nice. There are three bars (if I remember correctly, but I'm usually tipsy when I'm there so I could be wrong), and a smoke friendly room upstairs, and they have great lighting and architecture. I went once for a Raphael Saadiq concert and had a great time - maybe it's because there were true music aficionados in attendance, instead of those Night-at-the-Roxbury types. The reason I gave it two stars instead of just one is because #1, I've never EVER had to pay to go here, and #2, I like the fact that they get some good DJ's to spin here - Hed Kandi, Miguel Migs, Ellen Ferrato, Mark Farina, Donald Glaude...the list goes on...but all in all, these DJ's play at many other venues that I'd rather go to.
