Today is Sunday and 2 of my closest friends invited me and some others to join them for brunch here. I have never been here before but have seen it from the 134 on several occassions. I must admit, I was curious to go inside. Speaking of inside...very modern interior...dark wood floors...spacey lighting...lots of windows and outdoor patio areas all around the restaurant itself...There was a jazz trio playing...and they were rather good, I must say, however a bit too loud for a Sunday at noon...it was hard to hear the conversation at my table. Sunday brunch is buffet style...I will get back to this in a moment. Julie and I were the first to arrive at just before noon...the hostess was very nice and showed us 2 tables that we could choose from....we took the one furthest from the trio. The service, at this point was s-l-o-w...once we got our waiter, he was very friendly and fast (at this point). About 10 mins. later the others arrived. After waiting about 10 more minutes, I had to get up and get a waiter to fill our water glasses and add additional silverware...NO ONE SEEMED TO KNOW WHAT THEY WERE DOING!!! It was a comedy of errors...waiters running into eachother, not knowing where to go or what to do...and not one of them came to us. What happen to the nice waiter we had when we first arrived? Well, he was suddenly put behind the bar to mix drinks. WTF...Now, to the buffet...the egg dishes were over cooked and very little sauce on some, salads were wonderful especially the Chinese Chicken Salad (which I had two rather large portions of), lots of fresh (?) shrimp still in their shell, and a large selection of other main courses and potatoes made different ways...none of which were very flavorable. Fresh fruits and a large assortment of tiny deserts were available. I did not pay the bill, so, I have no idea what the cost was... I do know this, never, ever, will I go back to Minx for Sunday brunch! OH! Did I mention that their air conditioning was not working? (And it is pushing 100 degrees outside!) So, for all of you that love this place...good for you. Just don't go on a Sunday brunch...I certainly hope it is better in the evening (?). 4 stars for atmosphere 2 stars for food 0 stars for service Total: 2

ok, the interior is cool. that's as far as it goes. the music was totally danceable and acceptable but other than that i couldn't have been more dissapointed. this was stop 2 for us on New Year's. So hot and overcrowded and overpriced. Too many big guys in striped button downs looking for a fight. To seal the deal - water was 6 bucks a bottle. this is after paying 185 to get in!!!! bummer
