If I could give this joint a HALF star I would. Or NO stars. This place reminds me of prom when I was 16. All the bump grind ghetto shit that happens here is beyond what I expected as a 21 and up establishment. Make it a teen club already, we know thats the feel you're going for. Oh and the door guys? Corrupted AS FUCK. Finding drugs on someone and taking it then letting them in is absolutely RETARDED. Also, if you have a fake id and they find out? Get 40 extra bucks ready because you'll get in, you're just paying 3 times more for overpriced drinks and lady liquids on your ed hardy jeans. Don't get me wrong, I like to dance. I like to dance to DANCE music. Not top 40 jams that I've heard at LEAST 15 times in one day on the radio. The dudes are creepy and have Guido hair, the broads are rowdy and have NO CLASS. I dressed like a perfect young lady with my tasteful-lengthed dress and high heels. I thought they had a dress code! I watched them let in two hynas with fuckin strap on adidas sandles. You know, the ones you wear to the pool for quick access? Oh and cut off PEDAL PUSHERS. Really though? I thought the dress code consisted of tasteful not casual attire or some bull. Wrong. If you look like you'll let your ass drop low then you're fuckin IN. Classy girls? I advise you to find somewhere else in that god forsaken town if possible. Oh its 25 dollars to get in if you're on the list forget about any discount. And that 25 dollars? I'd rather by a legit meal at somewhere fine.

Poets, eh? That's what I said when I heard about this place. I was expecting some grungy place where they'd charge me $10 for a Bud and sing Kumbayah in candlelight. Clearly, that wasn't how the night worked out, or I wouldn't even be wasting your time with this review. If you really need convincing, they have relatively cheap beer ($4/bottle) and the staff is indeed very welcoming. I chatted with the bouncer/owner and the bartender, they were happy to answer questions (Nuyorican is a play on New York + Puerto Rico) and the like. And I haven't even mentioned the poetry yet. Trust me, it's like steak for your ears!!
