by Renee C. on Trying to dance to trance/techno SOBER? Eh..tolerable I supposed, didn't quite feel it until the gin from my drink hit me... I guess it was worth the $12 drink since we didn't pay cover and it was STRONG! Still then, there were too many distractions to entirely feel the crowd; the old man to the back trying to dance like he's 21, the awkward guy on the steps doing his own thing like noone's watching and the guy in the middle of the dance floor trying to move like JT. ...And then, OUT OF NOWHERE, I was blinded with a blast of cold FOG that sent CHILLS all through my skirt and then, I tried to grab onto the people standing next to me but I was afraid of grabbing the wrong spots, so I ended up standing still for like 20 seconds waiting for the moment to pass...ummm I think I would've enjoyed that much better if I was drunk! I was surprised though; since it was the perfect moment for douchebags to grab anyone they want anywhere they want...It wasn't as atrocious as I thought it would've been...maybe cause they weren't ready for it to come either.
by Alva Eisenhauer on We held the 2006 Winter Event to Benefit SCOPE here and it was alright - too big for what we were looking to do - a 3 hour open bar event with silent auction. The over use of mirrors gave me a headache and all I could think was tackalicious! I wouldn't be caught dead here on a regular night, but it was alright for what we needed (aka the price was right!)
