by Kay H. on We have come here a couple times now and the awesome things that stood out to me were: -super clean, nice bathrooms (something you don't find in a lot of bar/lounges) -awesome happy hours (til 9!!) and good drink specials ($3-4 beers), 1/2 off appetizers and $2 carne asada tacos! plus FREE chips and guac...WHHHHAAAAA? -awesome bartenders! ask natasha for her watermelon jollyranchers! - an eclectic mix of music videos and movie clips playing on multiple screens around the room, definitely keeps things interesting -NINTENDO!! many different kinds of games (64, orig. nintendo, arcade games, karaoke) to keep you entertained This is a great place to go if you want a chill place to kick it with your friends and have a good time!
by Jeffie Skeeters on This is a beautiful venue. At almost anywhere you stand in this venue, you'll have a decent view of the stage. I definitely prefer this venue over the Fillmore or Slims, but probably not over the Warfield. A very important note: The best booze food is around the corner - fish and chips! Go, enjoy a show, drink like a sailor, and find the fish and chips place around the corner (the name of the place escapes me) to fill your belly to the brim.

I am not sure if its a hidden gem, or I am just late to the party, but this is such a cool spot to grab a drink. The even cooler part is the other "secret dungeon" (Lava), that also provides a really good experience. It's hit or miss with the crowd here (sometimes its packed with great energy--other times you look around and you are the only mf there with a vodka tonic and a bartender thats nowhere to be found). The bartenders are pretty cool. The last time I went he gave me a drink on the house. I am not really a "regular" anywhere so this is not something that happens to me regularly.. Lava is a smaller space but still has the same cool/hidden factor. Once again great bartenders, very good/intimate vibe. I am a big fan of this spot as well.
