Douchebag central? if ever there was a place too cool for its own good thy name would be The Standard Hotel. The only saving grace MIGHT be the delicious, unpretentious beer garden. Dear "Top of The Hotel"(can you even use quotations here???) bouncers, You still are not cool and everyone remembers when you peed your pants in high school. Plus the horrendous case of acne that still remains on your pockmarked face. FYI - I thought New York was supposed to be "original" but somehow you have managed to be more "trendy" (and all the negative connotations intended) than your counterpart in LA.. PS - looking forward to never hearing from you (or staying here for that matter) again. xoxo forget my name (because you already did) but no one else has (you lame fucking bastards)

Um what a bad idea to come here after the YEE @ Yoshi's. Worse was trying to take advantage of their $2.75 beers. Tsk tsk tsk. Their pepperoni and mushroom pizza was delicious. And their service was awesome. Sorry to Bruno's for drunkenly stumbling my way around their restaurant. I will come in here again once I learned my lesson and of course when I am in the area.

A friend of mine recommend this place to me. Once I punched the address into my trusty sidekick, (My GPS), I was on my way. As soon as I entered the area, I felt a little uncomfortable. This section of town appears to be neglected. If you don't get to Cafe Circa early, you could have problems finding parking. They do have their own parking lot, but it can fill up quickly. Also, you there's no cost to park in their lot nor is there an entrance fee. Although the area is sketchy, it wasn't bad in the area the cafe is located. The spot is a cool sophisticated gem. There's a small section where a group of people could eat and drink. There's also a number of small tables for couples to eat. There's booths along the wall as well. On the particular day I went, there was a live band playing. I didn't get the opportunity to sample the food so I have no input about it. One thing that became obvious, was the size of the place. There wasn't much room to maneuver around and try to socialize with people. I suspect that Friday's and Saturday's are their most busiest days. I'd probably be more likely to go there on a less busy evening so I could absorb the entire atmosphere better.
