by Refugio Porro on Was in town for a wedding with little funds and no patience for waiting in line, so Sunday night at Hiro, with no line or no cover - perfect. Everyone was nice. I love that. Makes a bumpkin from Texas like me just want to mack on the big island of Manhattan big time major city. Inside was beyond beautiful, the Smokin' McHottie bartenders were a blast to talk to and let me smoke inside (thanks, guys!) and the music was pumpin pumpin pumpin and there were no bridge-and-tunnel (minus my beloved Brooklyn peeps) fools trying to get all Patrick Swayze an' shit... I scored SO WELL here (I love it when they don't know how out my league they really are...low self esteem RULES!) I will probably never go back so as not to ruin the memory. (sigh) If you're looking to get your swerve on OR a night of no expectations and shakin' it, Hiro is it.
